Fire! It can start anywhere and spread through the smallest gap. To keep it in check, you need an effective barrier. A fire door that closes effectively before the fire is out of control. That stops the spread of flame, and leaves you, not the fire, in charge.  

A fire door often needs to be in daily use. So it needs to be as easy to operate as any other door. And just because it is extra tough, doesn’t mean it can’t be a good looking asset to your building.
